Pacific Coast & National Real Estate | United Country Panama
Roberto Díaz Tapiero is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a fully Licensed Realtor at United Country Panama, where he works closely with all agents at the Coronado Office to ensure the highest standards of service, professionalism, and client satisfaction.
Proud of his Panamanian roots, Roberto was raised in Panama City before moving to the United States as a teenager. He later graduated from Loyola University with a degree in Marketing and International Business, laying the foundation for his strategic, client-focused approach to real estate.
Driven by a passion for travel and cultural immersion, Roberto has lived and worked in Venezuela, Spain, Sweden, and throughout the United States, including California, Hawaii, Georgia, Tennessee, and Louisiana. His international exposure has shaped a global mindset that allows him to understand diverse client expectations and adapt to the constantly evolving real estate market.
A lifelong surfer, Roberto moved to the island of Maui, Hawaii, to fulfill a personal dream of mastering the sport. During this time, he authored several children’s books focused on surfing, ocean safety, and skateboarding, blending education with environmental and community awareness.
His passion for surfing and coastal living eventually led him back to Panama, where he began specializing in beachfront properties and surf community real estate. Recognizing Panama’s real estate growth early on, Roberto invested alongside former clients and friends from California, acquiring a right-of-possession beachfront hectare. Through a long and complex bureaucratic process, he successfully converted the property into titled land, gaining firsthand expertise in the risks, benefits, and legal distinctions between right-of-possession and titled properties—knowledge that now directly benefits his clients.
Today, Roberto focuses on apartments, houses, and land outside Panama City, particularly within the Pacific Coast beach communities from Punta Chame to Buenaventura, as well as nearby mountain regions. His market expertise spans Punta Chame, Nueva Gorgona, Coronado, Playa Blanca, Santa Clara, Farallón, Río Hato, Buenaventura, Bijao, along with Altos del María, Laguna de San Carlos, El Valle de Antón, Penonomé, and the Azuero Peninsula, including Pedasí, Cambutal, and Playa Venao.
Having worked from the same Coronado office for over 10 years, Roberto has developed deep, on-the-ground knowledge of both beach and mountain communities, making him a trusted authority for buyers, sellers, and investors seeking lifestyle and long-term value.
His exposure to multiple international markets enables him to adapt seamlessly to changing market conditions, client demands, and Panama’s unique real estate dynamics. Understanding how challenging relocation can be, Roberto’s primary goal is to make the process clear, secure, and as stress-free as possible, especially for foreign buyers.
Roberto is known for his ability to listen carefully and understand what clients are truly looking for. He then works strategically to identify properties that align with their lifestyle, investment goals, and long-term vision—helping clients fulfill their dream of owning a home, condominium, or investment property in Panama.
You may recognize Roberto from his appearances on three separate episodes of House Hunters International, where his charisma and market expertise were showcased to a global audience.
In 2019, Roberto also produced an environmental children’s book in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Coronado and private donors. The book encourages future generations of Panamanians to take pride in their country by caring for neighborhoods, schools, and beaches. The project was adopted by the Panamanian Ministry of Education, with the goal of distributing it to public schools nationwide.
As CEO of United Country Panama, Roberto leads the company with a long-term vision focused on ethical business practices, national market coverage, agent collaboration, and uniting buyers and sellers through knowledge, trust, and transparency—backed by the legacy of United Country Real Estate – USA, uniting buyers and sellers since 1925.
